 About fotohunter.com By the late 'Nineteen-Sixties', before the internet or digital photography, FOTOHUNTER had begun 'Capturing the image', supplying aviation pictures directly to enthusiasts worldwide and for media publication.
A decade or so later, as the photographic collection expanded, the cost involved in regularly updating a printed catalogue became excessive, prompting a decision to review (and to place on hold) the marketing of pictures. 'Capturing the image', however, continued with the same enthusiasm as it does to the present day, resulting in the significant photographic collection that now forms the archive of fotohunter.com.
With a completely new project, now totally online, yet following on from where the old left off, more than thirty years ago, FOTOHUNTER again provides a source of quality photography for everyone with an interest in aviation, showcasing images old and new. Perhaps aims and aspirations haven't changed but technologies certainly have.
The business: FOTOHUNTER is a totally independent business, owned and operated by professional photographer, Brian Hunter, focused upon providing a service for aviation enthusiasts and photographic collectors. Our professional outlook and practice extends beyond 'Capturing the image', across presentation and throughout the core values of quality of product and reliability of service.
To ensure maximum effectiveness, the key elements of capturing and supplying images are separated and attended to as discrete business functions. Photography and other creative input to fotohunter.com is originated 'in-house', whilst end products, including photographic images, are supplied with assistance from the commercial sector.
Orders are fulfilled through the support services provided by ‘major-name’ companies, coordinated on behalf of FOTOHUNTER by one ‘prime contractor’, with an e-commerce system and supply chain that is established, tried and tested. Working together, it is possible to offer a true 24/7, worldwide service and a great picture buying experience.
From the ‘Stock Library', pictures are available for Media use and broader applications. Services also include original photography to client requirements, across a broad commercial and industrial spectrum.
